Description:
This position is characterized by performance of a variety of administrative, secretarial, and office support duties. This position requires knowledge of office management, budget processes and procedures in order to communicate information involving programs, functions, and services, and requires confidentiality.
Required:
Associate’s degree in Office Systems Technology or related field or equivalent job related experience, a minimum of two years experience within an office or customer service setting.
Preferred:
Proficiency in the use of standard office productivity software, desktop publishing software, and basic database skills. Ability to work successfully in a periodically high-volume environment, handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with little direct supervision.
Duties:
Duties include preparation of documents and reports; maintaining budgets, the use of office technology and software; compiling records; organizing and maintaining files (both paper and electronic); posting information;greeting/referring/assisting students/faculty/staff/others; mail management and distribution and photocopying and scanning documents. The completion of work involves a public contact role to obtain, clarify, or provide information regarding activities of the distance education office and programs. |

Location: Pilot Mountain Center for Learning, Education, And Retraining (CLEAR)
Description:
This position will serve as the program resource individual, academicadvisor, case manager, and link to community agencies, businesses, and industries. This individual will provide career assessments, career exploration, job search preparation, and assistance to program participants in identifying a career path; must make presentations to agencies and community organizations about SCC programs, all in coordination with existing SCC divisions and departments; participate in professional development and training; plan for strategic outcomes; prepare and submit program reports in a timely manner.
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Education, Human Services, or Business.
Minimum of three years work experience in an administrative or educational position. Computer skills required in word processing, Excel, databases, and power point. Must be able to work flexible hours, including daytime, evenings, and weekends. Must possess valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in related area, with community college experience and/or
experience providing career and educational advising for diverse population. |

Distribution Line Worker/Helper - The responsibilities of this position are to construct, maintain and repair electrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground lines, the installation and repair of electrical equipment such as street lighting and load control devices and the construction of overhead and underground distribution lines based on engineering specifications, including setting poles, pulling cable, setting transformers, etc. This position requires you to attend a 9 week training program that will take place in Charlotte, NC.

Primary Functions: Insures quality care is provided to patients and their families at the Woltz Hospice Home. Responsible for immediate supervision, scheduling and competency of clinical and support staff. Assists with the facility coordination related to patient care, pharmacy, operations, communication, admissions, discharges, transfers and continuity of care. Provides ongoing mentoring and leadership to clinical and support staff to ensure optimal patient and family care.
Qualifications: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina and possess at least a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Must have at least 3 years of supervisory experience and 3 years of clinical nursing experience. Experience in Hospice care, facility care, acute inpatient, or long term care preferred. Ability to read and comprehend and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients/families/caregivers, and other employees of the organization. Must have strong communication and organizational skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, email, and internet skills. Must be able to program medical pumps and devices. Must possess a valid Driver’s License, current auto insurance, reliable transportation, and registered nursing license.
