Mission:
Our goal is to recruit new members and to encourage membership participation and networking at Chamber functions. The Chamber hosts numerous events, activities and outings such as the annual Golf Tournament, Administrative Professionals Day, and the annual Awards Luncheon where numerous awards are bestowed on outstanding volunteers, the Annual Meeting each January the Citizen of the Year Award is announced, Business After Hours socials, Ribbon Cutting and Chamber Surprise patrol. The Ambasador's Club is the principal volunteer membership and community relations committee of the chamber.

Annual Meeting
Host the 46th Annual Meeting of the Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce. Plan and arrange the Annual Meeting in the first month of 2007. Feature installation of new officers and directors, as well as a summary of the Chamber’s accomplishments in 2006.
Awards and Recognition
To recognize citizens of our community for outstanding achievements through the Extra Mile Award. Also, to give recognition to business leaders in our community through the Business Beyond Award for extraordinary leadership and involvement for the good of business and our community. Present the “Citizen of the Year” award at the Annual Meeting.
Ambassador Club
The Ambassador’s Club is the principal volunteer membership and community relations committee of the Chamber of Commerce. The Ambassador Club assists with ribbon-cutting ceremonies, Chamber Surprise Patrol visits and Business after Hours. This committee participates in all Chamber-sponsored events, assists in recruiting new members, and represents the Chamber to its members and the community. You are the “Cheer Leaders” of the Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce

Annual Golf Tournament/Social
This tournament is an opportunity for networking and will provide a revenue stream for the Chamber. This committee will select the course, work with the Pro to coordinate and recruit golfers and sponsors for the event.
Membership/Member Services
Recruit new chamber members on a continuous basis and work to retain existing membership. Continuously monitor, evaluate and improve the content and format of membership communications tools. Provide professionally, timely and accurate, publications and media items:
